100 people want to listen to what I have to say!

I am just so excited!  I have hit 100 followers.  I guess that puts me on the way to being a band rockstar!

I have really started to notice my weightloss!  I work at a 90 year old courthouse, so there are alot of stairs.  I have recently been able to take those stairs without feeling like I was going to die when I got to the top.  That is a MAJOR nsv for me.

I have had people notice and say something to me also.  The judge said something to me about it on Tuesday.  That was nice of her.  I also had a client (which mind you was a little creepy) tell me that I must have lost a bunch of weight.  (Does is count when they are in shackles?)  The fat girl in me thought that it must have been the clothing that day.  BUT...  one of the ladies I work with, her husband said something to her when he came into the office yesterday.  Something must be going right.  Now, if someone could give a hint to MY husband, that would be nice!

I am so glad that this is starting to really work for me.  I have lost several pounds since my first fill.  I go for hopefully another on Wednesday.  I think that I am close to where I need to be, but not quite there yet.

Today is another day...

I have been such a bad blogger. I really haven't kept up on my posts.  I have been reading though.  This first fill has finally kicked in.  Is that weird that it has taken two weeks?  When I first got the fill, it was no different than bandster hell.  Although the weight started falling off faster. (I am not complaining)  The past couple of days however, what I normally ate is now making me FULL.  For lunch almost every day, I have a small dessert bowl of taco meat (about 3-4 ounces) with colby jack cheese on top that I place under the broiler in the toaster oven.  I put salsa on top and eat.  It tastes too good!  Yesterday, it made me so full.  I thought I was going to throw up when I got back to work.  My BFF told me that I should.  I told her I wasn't trading my regular food issues for bulemia!

I have an appointment next week for another fill.  I don't feel that I am in the green zone yet.  I get full, but that feeling goes away within the hour and I get hungry.  Tell me if this feeling goes away when you are where you should be, I need to not be hungry!

On non-band related news, we finished replacing the wall in my son's room.  I still need to paint it.  My husband needs to make his new bed.  We sold his bunk bed on Saturday.  My older boy made it to the National Boy Scout Jamboree and is having the time of his life.  I asked him when I spoke to him what his favorite part of this trip was so far... he responded "the anticipation of what is to come."  My husband assures me that he will not be dissapointed.  I looked at the things going on today and his favorite author will be speaking on one of the stages.  I hope that he gets to go.

My youngest son, is in Texas with my parents.  He really enjoys his time there.  He went to a car show with my father over the weekend and to the shooting range.  Our oldest son is starting his first house remodeling.  We wish him luck and patience!  I can't wait to see what he comes up with.

Well off to get ready for another wonderful day at the office!  I would really be able to post more if it wasn't for the internet nazis at the office!  Ta Ta for now!

Busy weekend

Thursday my son left for his national scout jamboree in D.C.  I just love technology as the troop is uploading pictures of their trip every night!  It looks as if he is having fun.  The send off was a lot of fun and the boys were on the news and the front page of the paper.

Now the fun begins.  We have taken the bunk bed out of DS#2 room and will take the wall down today.  I hope to have it back up and to the painting step by the end of the weekend.  Tall request with a 20 month old helping I know!

On the band front, my first fill didn't really give me any restriction.  I feel like I am having to limit myself more than I was before the fill.  I still have lost, but it is all my "diet" and I didn't think that I was going to have to do that anymore!

Peace at last....

I haven't been around much in the last week as I have been really busy.  Last weekend we went to St. Louis so my son could have a Scout campout.  On Sunday, my father met us in St. Louis and took my youngest son back to Austin, TX with him.  So one kid down...  Today my oldest son left for the National Scout Jamboree in Virginia for two weeks.  Sooo that means for the next two weeks, my husband and I have only the baby and she doesn't make too much noise (if you give her exactly what she wants).

On the band front, I am doing much better since getting my fill.  I don't think that I am in the green zone as of yet.  I have been really hungry lately, but I think it just because of TOM.  I have lost about 3 pounds since fill.  I am happy with that!  I am excited to get this show on the road!  I am solidly in an xl shirt and 16 regular pants.  So I guess that means that I am down a size since surgery.

One more day of work before the weekend!  We have a big weekend planned.  We are remodeling our youngest sons room.  We have to replace the drywall on one of the walls as there is a massive body print in it.  The boys aren't talking as to which one went through the wall.  Anyone who has had several boys can understand!

First fill!

I made it my first fill after the experience of getting there through a lot of road construction.  I decided that I would force my 10 year old to go with me.  He is very interested in the band and I thought it would be good for him and anyways he was home alone today as my older son is at summer camp so since I was leaving town, he needed to go with me.  BIG MISTAKE!

I need to explain my ten year old.  He not only marches to the beat of a different drummer, he has his own orchestra!  He talks about strange things the whole hour drive to the surgeons office like how certain trucks trailer hitches are configured and WHY.  I totally don't know how he notices this stuff!  I was about stressed when we got there, but oh I shouldn't have been...  I went in the office and got right in.  The surgeon comes in and tells me to stand in front of him.  He feels for my port and then takes out a HUGE needle and just sticks it in!  I was hoping for some numbing or something, but no.  Luckily, it didn't hurt at all!  He puts in 4.5 cc. He has me drink, unfortunately I don't feel very different.  My son pipes up (while the surgeon is still in the room) that we don't have to drive for an hour for that again because we have that needle at home that we inject the chicken and turkey with (marinade injector) and that he should be able to stick water in there just fine.  I wanted to crawl under the table!  Where does he come up with this?  I composed myself and asked the dr to show him the differences in the needle he used.

I was able to obtain a copy of an article that was in the local paper where my surgeon is about my surgery.  It was in there because I was the first for the community and hosptial.  I thought it was really cool!

Here's to hoping for at least a little restriction!  I go back in 3 weeks.

Tomorrow is my First fill!  I am so ready.  It seems that I have no restriction whatsoever.  I can eat anything that I could before surgery.  I am hoping that I get something that I can feel tomorrow, I know it won't be a perfect fill but it will be something.

I haven't really had any inspiration to post...

The past week or so I have been pretty busy.  Work has been busy as it is the mid-summer point and the teenagers are starting to lose their minds.  Job security for me I guess.  I have been working hard to make it through this bandster hell.  My first fill is next week.  I am not expecting complete restriction, but anything has to be better than this!  Every bit of loss that I have had, has been me!

I am going to have a great day today!  My husband and younger son are going to camp for 3 days.  My oldest boy went to camp for a week yesterday.  Do you get where I am going with this?  My daughter (20 months) and I will be home alone!  I love my family and all, but I really need some female time.  Sadly, the thing that I am most looking forward to is getting the house really clean (not just boy clean), and then just sitting and staring at it for a while.  I am also excited that it will stay clean for days not hours or minutes.  Oh, and I won't have to check out the toilet seat before I use it!  Ahh the life with boys...

I got my Zumba DVD's in the mail yesterday.  I wanted to try them before I tried a live class.  I don't know if they have any live classes around here as I live in a pretty rural area.  I haven't taken tem out of the box yet, I will do that after I get the house clean this morning.

New blogger alert!

I just came across a blogger on my surgeon's website.  She won a lapband and was banded in April.  Sadly she is wondering if there was anybody out there!  I am sure that we can all show her some love!  Tell her I sent ya!

Happy 4th of July!

I hope that everyone is having a great weekend!  I sure am.  Yesterday my husband, daughter, and I got out and went to have breakfast at the lake.  It really renewed my desire for a boat. I think that we need a new fence first though.  We worked in the yard a little and just spent time enjoying life.  This evening, we are going to a bbq at our friends house.  They have a pool.  They can also see the municipal fireworks from their house so we will watch them there.

On the weightloss front, things are going better this week.  Bandster Hell sucks monkey balls!  I am really having to diet to have any loss.  My fill is 10 days from now.  I can't wait.

I have started going with a friend from work to a tanning bed.  I look good, but those parts of me where the sun hasn't shown for 15 years aren't taking it so nicely.  I took a couple of days off to let those not be so pink.  I am feeling better today.
