Where did it go?

So as I sit here in bandster hell, I begin to wonder where the pounds have went.  I have lost 23lbs since February.  This is good I know, but my problem lies elsewhere.  I have not moved anywhere in my clothing.  I went to the basement this weekend to pull out my clothing that I couldn't wear after I had my daughter.  Still a no go.  WTF?  Was I so stuffed in my clothing that it looked that bad, or was I hiding two bags of potatoes somewhere in my body?  It really is a sick thought!  I wait for another 3 weeks before a fill.  Unfortunately I had to go and buy some shorts to deal with our heatwave.  I really wish some of those would have fit.  My luck they won't fit until it is winter!

I know it doesn't make you feel any better but when I first started my journey, I had to lose 40 lbs before I was able to wear even one size smaller. And some of those clothes are the same ones I still wear even 40 lbs lighter. Eventually you will get there, I promise, just make sure you make wise food choices and exercise, even if it's just walking. Hang in there.

It's crazy how weight loss looks on different people. I heard one time that every 10 lbs you lose should take you down a size. Ummm, I don't think so. Doesn't work for me like that. Hang in there. You are doing great. You'll be fitting in those clothes in no time.

I know EXACTLY how you feel!!!! I had to lose 20 lb before surgery, and honestly I couldn't tell one bit of difference. It was between 35 and 40 lb for me too before I could tell one bit of difference. Now other people are starting to notice, and I'm finding that my clothes are too big. I used to hear that thing about 10 lb = one dress size too. It sure didn't work for me this time! Just keep on workin' it, and one day you'll wake up and you'll be saying "Where did it go?" But you'll be talking about your thighs and your butt and your neck, and your waist, and ....

Seems like we can move up in sizes a lot faster than it takes to move down in sizes! I get banded on Thursday, so your recent posts have really been helpful to me! Thanks!

I think it is about 25 lbs. per size, at least in the plus sizes. The smaller sizes are probably about 10 lbs. each like Bonnie said. That means you are just about due! I think you should go to your favorite store and start trying things on until you find a smaller size that fits!

The thing I get hung up on is feeling like, "Oh yeah, I just lost 20 lbs, I'm awesome!" And then you look at yourself and remember, "Oh yeah...but I still weigh over 200lbs..."

I hope bandster hell is going by quickly! You'll be in the next size in no time I bet!

How strange! I've gone through a new size in clothes every 10 pounds that I have lost. Very strange.
