Original Goal... I did it!

I hit goal once... I CAN do it again!

Wow, has it really been a month?

I can't believe that I haven't posted in a month! I have been reading but just haven't had the time to sit down and put words on paper so to speak.

Weight is good. Sitting at 136 right now. Still have 11 lbs to goal. I am hoping to get there sometime this summer.

The family and I are working on a garden this year. This is our first try at this as we have so many trees in our yard that the shade is too much for vegetables. We rented a spot at our towns community garden this year to try. The boys are also going to work on their gardening merit badges! Here's to luck with some extra vegetables this year!

Work has been ok. We finally got a new contract ratified this week. We had been working without one since the first of December.

I have just passed 10 months out from surgery. I have enjoyed this experience thoroughly. Over 70 lbs lost! I really wish my brother could see me now! He would be so thrilled. I have been going through a lot of pictures lately to create a book for my 2 year old daughter to go through with pictures so that she doesn't forget his face. I realized while going through these how long I stayed large. I don't see now how I allowed that to happen for so long. Goal WILL come and I WILL get there! What a wondrous feeling!!!

I absolutely love to garden! I've got a little one in my backyard and there is NOTHING like fresh veggies straight out of the dirt! Just keep everything watered and you should have stellar veggies!

The garden sounds really great! I'm sure that your brother's spirit is with you and that it's beaming with pride for you and your wonderful accomplishments. Your success honors him in many ways....and the things you've shared here about him and his death, have no doubt, opened the eyes of many readers, you are making sure that others know the truth and you're making something good come from the tragedy. I'm proud of you...if that counts for anything!

Children love picture books, what a perfect way for your daughter to learn about and be close to someone so dear to you.

So close to goal- my bugaboo is why skinny people are never told they are too skinny- but overweight people who lose weight are told that. I'm ten pounds over weight, and have had people ask my husband if he was feeding me. Seriously??? Sorry, just a pet peeve of mine.

I'm excited to hear more about your plants and garden. I'm going to go for it this year, it's been a few years due to surgeries. It's a love/hate thing for me...

Glad to hear your work issues have resolved. I won't even go into a public rant here about the issue. Thanks for what you do!

Glad to hear from you. 70 lbs in 10 months is awesome. Your brother would be proud. Sometimes I get depressed that I can't share my weight loss with my mom, but know that she is watching me and proud of my accomplishments.
