I need some comments on WII Fit

We had a great week last week. The family and I went on Thursday evening to a town hall meeting on underage drinking. I went for sheer curiosity as to what the town's ideas were as I am juvenile probation in town. At the meeting the incentive for coming prize was a Wii system. MY SON won! He was quite excited. I have been wanting the Wii fit for a while, but did not want to spend the money on the system and the balance board. I need some feedback as to how everyone who has it thinks of it and if they use it enough to justify the price or not. Thanks for any and all feedback!

I have it but don't use it much. It tells me I'm obese. LOL. I bought the Wii fit (with balance board) and a couple of others-Olympic Games. You also need these hand sensors so two can play things like tennis, etc. My son who is 24 loves it as does my daughter and her boyfriend. I do plan to use it. There are a bunch of other games which the kids love to add which aren't just for exercise.

Check out Gilly's blog http://somethingsomethingsomethingfatchick.blogspot.com/2010/04/wii-fit-and-tell-me-what-i-need.html as she was talking about the Wii and had a bunch of comments.

I have Wii fit, but don't use it much. I like some of the other games that burn calories, but are not so focused on exercise - and they don't call me obese. I like Wii Sports Resort and Justt Dance.

I have the Wii fit but haven't been able to use it yet as it has a weight limit and I'm not quite there yet.

The workout game I LOVE for WII is EA Sports Active. It is such a great workout. You can customize it to your weight. Tells you how many calories you burn. I really like it.

The Wii fit is fun, but it doesn't give you a tough workout(at least not me). I wish I had gotten the Sports Active. If I had to do it again I probably wouldn't have gotten it.

Dont get it.

Bc I am going to say what everyone else has said so far...I havent used mine in months, the wrkouts arent that hard, it is time consuming to build a workout that runs long enough and with enough intensity, etc. I mean...it can be fun for entertainment purposes, and some of the games do make you break a sweat...but I say no.

I like my Wii Fit. I'm getting back into using it. I don't think that it will be my core of exercise but its nice to change it up with something fun.

I think the wii fit is fun. But I wouldn't use it as a base fitness routine. I use the fit more than the just the Wii. And I like all the balance stuff it has - it gives feedback about how your balance really is. I know that core exercises and such build your balance...but the feedback is meaningful to me.

I just got caught up on your blog. Thanks for the shout out on my surgery day - that was awesome to see!

As for the paperwork submission, man, this is brutal, Girl! I hope they get everything submitted soon and that you get a quick response then. I can't believe your Dr.'s office is the problem so far! It will happen, though - hang in there!
