So I had a great weekend.  I walked around all day Saturday with my husband and boys and a lot of our scouting friends.  It was great to see friends that I haven't seen in a while.  There were about 25,000 boy scouts at this event!  The boys had fun. I re-discovered how hard it is to push a stroller in tall grass.  The confusing problem I am having is that I am on my pre-op diet.  I did not waiver from it all weekend.  (Boy did I get the looks when I had my protein shake for lunch at camp)  We walked and walked for about 9 hours.  It was 90+ degrees.  Here is my problem...  When I left for this weekend, I weighed 188.  I came home weighing 192.  WTF!??   That would only put me 3lbs down on pre-op diet.  I don't get it.  Oh well... getting really excited.  I only have 2 days of work this week.  My mother has left for her 3 day drive home to stay with me. (It wouldn't take 3 days if she didn't stay at the casinos, here's to hoping she does well as always!)  She will arrive tomorrow evening.  I almost have the house completely clean.  I went to Wal-mart yesterday and bought toilet paper, dishwasher tabs, trashbags, and laundry detergent.  That should tide me over for a bit of being out of commission!

Heather, don't worry about it. You did a lot of walking and a lot of time after more than average exercise, you retain fluids. You will even out soon. Plus, I only lost 4.5 lbs on my pre-op diet that lasted a week. As long as you're sticking to your doctor's orders, you will be fine!

You are problably retaining water. I would just dring a lot of water today and you'll get rid of the excess. You'll be fine!

You'll be fine. You were in a different environment and that can wreak havoc on our bodies.

My guess is retaining water as well. That's what happens to my body in the heat. It says, "Oh no! You're sweating! We must hang on to our moisture in case this continues for much longer!"

Sometimes when your body is detoxing, as it is doing on the pre-op diet, it goes through really strange withdrawls. You might get very moody. You might break out in acne. You might go through strange hot/cold flashes. But it's all good because you're detoxing all the chemicals from your body, so stick with it!

In the meantime, the best thing to do when you're retaining water is to drink a lot of water. So keep it up!

Don't even worry about the little gain. It has to be hormonal or related to the heat and exercise. You are so close!
